Religion
Any ethnic group or society in the history, no matter advanced or unprogressive, has its own social relations, customs, ways of living and religion. One of the necessary conditions of a gregarious society is religion. It is also an important aspect of spiritual life. Though Sanyi Township is mainly composed of Minan and Hakka people, their religion follows the same root. Most people inherit the traditions and most of them are religious. That is why one can find numerous temples and churches in town.
According to survey, 60% of the residents are followers of Taoism, 20% are Buddhism followers, and Christianity and Catholicism claim some 20% respectively. |
