After the train passes through a series of tunnels, it will then arrive the Liyutan Iron Bridge. Under the bridge lies the lower dam of Liyutan Reservoir. The reflection of the train on the water is always a nice view to be enjoyed.

The steel beam built Liyutan Iron Bridge was also greatly damaged by the 1935 earthquake. The structure of the bridge was twisted and distorted that it was impossible to be used. Due to its geographical importance on the railway system, it was re-built at the very same site. Marks of its original builder can still be found on some of the steel beams
