Whenever talking about green tunnels, the first one that comes in mind must be the one in Jiji, Nantou. In fact, there is also a green tunnel in Sanyi. 

The starting point of Miao No.51 in the north is the Sanyi Interchange. Going north it can reach Provincial No.13 Jianfeng Highway, and heading south it can connect to Miao No.52, passing the West Lake Resort, Yuying Elementary School, Desing Lake, Shanghu, and the Sihfen Stream. There’s bamboo forest on both side of the road. Driving along the way seems like passing through a tunnel. The section to connect to Liyutan Village descends windingly, where views of Liyutan Plain, Jingshan River and Daan River comes into eyes. If you have some time to spare, the beautiful scenery along the way does worth a trip.
