The Dasingshan Temple is situated in Jiouhu Village, Tongluo Township. It attracts many followers and is actually one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Taiwan. 

The establisher Master Jioushih was enlightened in an early age, and founded the temple in Yuanli to practice ascesis so as to reach the ideal of “saving all living beings” in Buddhist philosophy. After the master passed away in 1985, the temple was relocated to Jiouhu Village. 

It is said that the Dabei water with Buddhist blessing has curing power and can also bring blessings of safety. Followers continue to make pilgrimage to the temple during holidays. Masters in the temple contribute the rice and noodles donated by their followers to the poor, and the temple thus becomes the spiritual center of the town. It also makes Jiouhu Village into a popular tourist attraction.
